Working with Nichols WD

Before we begin.

Straight answers about projects, pricing, process, and what it is like to work together.

You do not need to know what service to ask for. Tell us what is not working, what you are hoping to build, or what you cannot quite name yet. We will help you find the next useful step.

Take the Online Pulse Check
What if we are not sure what we need?

Ask anyway. You do not need to diagnose the problem or choose a package before contacting us. Start with what you know: what feels unclear, what needs to change, or what you are trying to make possible. We will help you sort through the options, including telling you when a simpler solution is enough.

Is there any obligation after the first conversation?

No. We may follow up, but there is no pressure to move forward. If the timing, scope, or fit is not right, a straightforward answer is completely fine.

What makes Nichols WD different from another agency?

We are honest about what we know, what we recommend, and what the work can realistically accomplish. We do not hide behind jargon, sell work we do not believe is useful, or disappear after handing over the final files. The relationship matters as much as the deliverable.

Who do you work with?

We work with organizations and businesses that care about what they are building. Our experience includes community-focused organizations, logistics, construction, fitness, hospitality, and other owner-led or purpose-driven teams. If the work matters to you, it is worth asking.

Pricing, roughly

Useful ballparks, not barriers.

Our clients and projects vary widely. These ranges are here to provide context, not to tell you that your project is too small. If the need is smaller, unusual, or still difficult to define, ask us anyway. Used to, when buying a car, you could negotiate. We work with your budget.

Photography and content $350–$2,500+ Commercial photography, headshots, or focused content capture.
Brand identity $800–$7,500+ Visual direction, identity systems, and practical brand tools.
Custom websites $3,000–$20,000+ Strategy, design, development, content structure, and launch.
Video production $2,500–$12,000+ Planning, filming, editing, and delivery based on production scope.
Ongoing support and partnership $100–$5,000+ / month Continued strategy, creative production, support, and improvement.

Our blended working rate averages around $120 per hour. For context, DesignRush reported a U.S. agency average of $124 per hour in 2025, while the largest group in Promethean Research’s 2026 agency study charged $175–$199 per hour. We keep the operation lean and try to beat traditional agency pricing by putting more of the budget into useful work rather than agency overhead.

The work itself

Scope, process, and continued support.

What services do you offer?

Our work includes strategy, identity, web design and development, photography, video production, and ongoing creative support. We prefer connecting the pieces so the website, story, imagery, and follow-up reinforce one another instead of operating in silos.

Can you work with our existing website or brand?

Sometimes. We will first look at what exists, how it was built, and whether improving it is responsible. We are cautious about modifying fragile code or systems we cannot support well. When a fresh start is the better long-term decision, we will explain why.

Is the work completed in-house?

Yes. Our core creative and production work is completed in-house. You are not passed to an unknown freelancer after the initial conversation.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes. Ongoing partnerships are often where the work becomes most useful. Continued support lets us learn the organization, respond as needs change, and build clarity and momentum over time.

Do you guarantee results?

No responsible creative or marketing partner can guarantee a specific business result. Markets, audiences, timing, operations, and many other factors affect outcomes. We do promise to show up, communicate honestly, do thoughtful work, and keep improving what we can measure and influence.

Do you work remotely or meet in person?

Both. Nichols WD is based in downtown Saint Cloud, Minnesota, and we work with clients across the United States. Remote collaboration works well for many projects, but we travel for client work at least twice each quarter. We do not like taking on projects where we never get the chance to spend time with the people involved and understand the business more closely. For deeper discovery, photography, film, and other location-dependent work, we will come to you.
